After some back an forth thinking I was missing a part. Found out I had the new revised fan. Customer support was very helpful and quick to respond with any questions or issues. Any installation issues were minor. Only had it installed for a few days and just now connected the music with Bluetooth which I really like not having to install another annoying app! Love the fan and it's cool features! ?(Edit: 9/18/19)I waited for one week for the shipment of a new remote. Luolax provided a UPS tracking number, after a few days I could tell the shipment was not moving. UPS had only received shipping "information". The remote (as I was told by Luolax) was shipping from California, and I happen to live in California. I knew that something was wrong, so I contacted Luolax, but they just told me to wait longer. When a week had passed, I contacted them again, as the shipment was still showing no progress. Luolax replied stating there had indeed been a problem, so they initiated another shipment, this time with USPS. The remote arrived just a few days later and it corrected the problem. After installing it, the fan and light both work correctly. Note for future purchasers: There is conflicting information in the instructions about how the remote should be "coded" or programmed to work properly. The 2nd remote (one which requires 2 traditional AAA batteries instead of the original non-working remote that used a shorter, fatter "alarm" battery) did work, and did NOT require any special coding - once the included AAA batteries were installed and the receiver was wired/installed, the fan operated properly. I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars, as I like the fan now that it's operating as described and as expected. I'm also increasing my rating after having had an overall positive experience with the email exchanges with customer service. They generally responded promptly and were empathetic, finally offering a discount due to the frustration and inconvenience I experienced.(Original review):Received the fan promptly. Thank you for quick delivery. Everything seemed like it was included.Problem: Fan and light work when NOT wiring in the receiver - which means that neither the fan speed nor the brightness of the light are adjustable. When wiring in the receiver, neither the fan nor the light will work. I hear a beep when I turn on the wall switch - which indicates that the remote and receiver must be communicating, but no matter which buttons I push , even though I hear a clicking sound, I cannot get the fan nor light to function at all. The instructions on the back of the remote state to press 1H and 2H simultaneously for 3 seconds and to repeat if no beeping sound is heard. After many attempts to do this, I never hear the beep to confirm that they are synced. The small red light on the remote stays lit while buttons are pushed, so I know the battery in the remote is fine, and as I said earlier I can hear a clicking sound as if the fan motor and or light are trying to function - but still nothing.Luolax has replied to my first email offering to replace the receiver/remote. Waiting for it to be delivered. I will update my review once I receive and install a new receiver/remote.If anyone has had a similar issue please comment with resolution.Thank you!Good product - but where do you find the replacement for the LED lights?These fans are great. I have had them for 1 year and they are still going strong. HOWEVER, because the blades retract when not in use, I have found it very difficult to clean the blades of built up lint. You can not simply swing them out when you need to clean them. At least that has not been my experience. This is not a deal breaker for me, but I do wish cleaning them were more simple.This is a great product, technically. It is super quiet and works wonderfully with the provided remote. The only issue is the installation. First, the instructions must have been written by someone looking up the English words in a dictionary. They make no sense at all. If you don't have a good idea how to wire a light fixture or a ceiling fan, you could be in for a long day. I have extensive work experience with Chinese people and I know they can do better than what was included with this fan/light. The second problem was that the assembly mounting bracket did not match the bolt holes for the electrical box in the ceiling. I had to drill new holes in the bracket. Okay, it only took about 10 minutes but the bolt circle should be a common size for US recepticles. Used about a month and really like the light!!!We enjoy our new fan. It looks great and you can hardly hear when it's working. We are very pleased with it. We had a little issue that was promptly resolved with the customer service. The only part we were struggling with was the installation. It was not easy to install we spent a few hours and we were (still are) missing couple of screws that are needed to attach the canopy that covers the wires. Well, overall we are happy with the product and the service.It’s just...SO COOL! We needed fan in an area where we couldn’t put a traditional fan with long reaching blades. You definitely don’t need an app. The remote control has many options for the lighting/fan and you can control music/volume from whatever music or podcast app is on your phone since it’s a one click connection to your smart phone. It’s a wonderful gadget, ideal for any place in the home and gives off a powerful draft also!I received a broken fan. Low speed would not work. So I had to pay the electrician to put it up and then pay the electrician to come back and take it down and then put up a replacement I had to order. Amazon gave me 5 dollars for my troubles and it’s going to cost 225 dollars in 3 install fees all for a bad unit.Just to say it looked great and everything else worked.I changed the rating to 3 because I was refunded but beware of internal quality of these cheeped Chinese made fans.
